President dissolved the Mazhilis on January 13, 2016. There are 107 members in the Mazhilis. 98 of these were elected by proportional representation. The remaining 9 were selected by the President himself, via advisory board. Members have 4-year terms.
On 21 October 2020, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree setting January 10, 2021 for new elections [Link]
