Description The Jackson Parish Police Jury was established in 1912 by the state of Louisiana and is the legislative and executive government of the parish. The members are called Jurors and are elected by the voters every four years. Each year they appoint a president as their chairman to preside over their meetings. The current term is a board of seven (7) members representing each of the seven (7) districts of the parish elected for 2020 through 2023.

Regular Jackson Parish Police Jury meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM at the Dr. Charles H. Garrett Community Center 182 Industrial Drive, Jonesboro, LA 71251.
