| Info | Labchuk is a well-known environmental activist with a reputation for challenging government and industry. Islanders know her as an uncompromising defender of environmental justice for people and the planet. As pesticide campaigner for Earth Action, she has worked to expose the
enormous harm to human health and the environment caused by industrial agriculture and toxic pesticides.
Her work is featured in several books and documentary films. Most recently she was selected for inclusion in 'Womankind', a book of photos and articles about 40 women activists from around the world. Labchuk lives with her two children in Millvale in a solar home surrounded by forest and organic gardens.
