I think, and I probably should have made the recommendation before in the About Site section, is that all silly races on candidate pages should be grouped at the bottom (like the dropped out races) for situations like this and the actual candidates placed in imaginary races.

The newly appointed member and the two holdovers can be in the same race, just hide the two holdovers by putting in dropout dates for both of them.

Going back to the original question about how to format this once he resigns, for multi-member races I honestly just leave the race as-is except for adding a note on the original race page. There is a way to show a vacant seat, but if the vacancy is filled relatively quickly, and because this is just a county-level race, it's really not worth it to go through all the trouble.

Once a new person is selected, I'd use that race to override this one for dates after the selection.

He'll be the nominee for Senate in 2028 continuing PA's trend for carpetbagger candidates.

Answering my own question a little:

Nixon (April 1994) & Agnew (Sept. 1996)
McGovern (Oct. 2012) & Shriver (Jan. 2011)
Stevenson (July 1965) & Kefauver (Aug. 1963)

HB!

I'm trying to decide whether I should be precinct captain or volunteer for an organization.

Absolutely start out at the committee-level. I'm a county committeeperson myself (in addition to being involved with my College Democrats back in the day). Use it to get to know others and show the higher-ups that you're serious about the position. Don't know what kind of county/municipality you live in, but it could be as easy as writing yourself in on committee election and winning it.

@Charlotte K-A if you are marking races certified, can you update the source link and make sure the precincts reporting is 100%?

Note my thumbs down is in regards to having him be our state's problem. I don't like him and don't want him to be governor. Now if he pulls a Gaetz* and resigns right away, I shed no tears.

Hard to believe that with the rightward swing of the state, not a single seat in the 203-seat legislature changed parties from the 1-seat D majority (assuming the two leading atm hold).

CA Pol Junkie: Of course, she is in a GOP gerrymandered district so it probably won't make a bit of difference in the end.

The mailer with "Harris" in big letters is probably more of a turnoff for Republican voters

I guess we were down a bit yesterday- I saw things were a little slow in the morning and then during the afternoon all pages (except the home page working normally) were blank other than the page title "OutCampaigns"

I always get a little paranoid thinking "Was it that race I added that broke the site?" :)

Unlikely, but are there any shapefiles or KML files on the district's website showing the district boundary?

If not, since it looks like the boundaries are just municipal boundaries, it's really easy to do a union function (maybe minor sliver cleanup as well) in GIS software of the individual municipalities to create it and upload here. [Link]

I can help later this evening if you can't do it yourself.

RP: Which pages?

It seems to be limited to containers for me, but there's random containers where everything after the Media header (including the comment box) does work.

Rechecking the links I provided when I first noticed this issue, the Los Angeles and North Canton container still do not work for me.

Can't say definitively, but the 2015 candidate was reported as a Teaneck resident (and a musician) [Link] and I found this story from 2011 about a rabbi screaming in front of a Richard Siegel's Teaneck house with the story noting he had a "Free Palestine" bumper sticker [Link]

The 2024 candidate listing notes a PO box in Bogota, a borough adjacent to Teaneck.

It doesn't appear at this time there's a direction connection with the person (a random business owner) who did the theft and the police department, but for all future criminals like this or chiefs who raid/arrest reporters homes/offices like that Kansas newspaper from a few months ago, you gotta learn about the Streisand Effect. Zeus the Moose: Do you know why this district is numbered as District 30 despite being seemingly out of order and surrounding by districts numbered in the teens?

I don't know fully for sure, but back in the 70s and 80s, the 30th district was up in the northern Essex area/Kearny area and fit with the rest of the district numbers. As white flight went from Nutley to the shore in that time, basically the northern Essex district was eliminated and a new district was created along the 195 corridor (stretching from Bordentown to Lakewood). Why the numbers weren't just renumbered around the whole area, beats me. Maybe the thought was that legislators would be ticked if they say previously were the 14th and then all of a sudden was now the 15th (even if the towns remained largely the same). There's people who complain if say highway exit numbers are changed from the obsolete sequential sequence to mileage-based (businesses having to reprint ads replacing "We're off exit 8" to "We're off exit 67").
