Hey ZT08, thanks for helping add results on races. Make sure you don't jump the gun in hitting the "certified" button on races. Many times, mail-in and provisional ballots are counted a couple days after Election Day and can alter the results. Also, make sure to use the official SoS or election commission page as your source. While local newspapers produce results, they are sometimes inaccurate. Thanks again!

Hey. Just wanted to say that I appreciate you as a member of the Site and I'm glad you contribute to the discussions.
I find your posts, while we don't always agree, thought provoking and interesting. Glad you are here.
Hey Brent! Thank you so much for the thoughtful comment. That really honestly made my day. While you're right, we don't always agree politically, that doesn't mean we can't get along. Despite our disagreements, I always viewed you as an insightful poster who was always willing to listen to the thoughts of the others.
To be honest, joining OurCampaigns was one of the best decisions I have made in a while. It's a place where I feel my thoughts are valued, as usually when I enter into places that deal with politics I am not taken seriously and get bullied because of my young age and me being on the autism spectrum. It's also a place where I feel like I can make a significant contribution. I can really envision myself being here for years to come. Again, thank you so much for that comment and I'm so glad that you are here as well.

Happy Birthday, Zack!
Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday
Thank you all! Since that I'm here in my account I would like to share that I'm considering starting a political career. I'm trying to decide whether I should be precinct captain or volunteer for an organization. If I go for it I'll be sure to let y'all know.

HB!
I'm trying to decide whether I should be precinct captain or volunteer for an organization.
Absolutely start out at the committee-level. I'm a county committeeperson myself (in addition to being involved with my College Democrats back in the day). Use it to get to know others and show the higher-ups that you're serious about the position. Don't know what kind of county/municipality you live in, but it could be as easy as writing yourself in on committee election and winning it.

Are you old enough to start? I do not know if you are old enough since you are below the voting age, but could be wrong!
I honestly would start as a volunteer with some candidate and then apply for a position once they win and from there getting elected to local party leadership.

Well thank you both for the suggestions. I don't know if I'm old enough to be a county committeeperson, but I'm pretty sure I'm old enough to volunteer. I know of people within my age range who work in campaigns.
Also I'm from Monroe County Pennsylvania.

I mean, you really do never know, but I remember seeing posts there dated back to 2004 (way before Ravnsborg became prominent) from a user named "jravnsbo" with a R-SD avatar. His signature at the time said he was serving in Iraq, which lines up with his Wikipedia profile.
As for the IL State Rep, I'm not sure on that one.
