Description |
The State Board of Elections originally certified Yancey as the winner by 10 votes on Nov. 20. A recount occurred with the review of ballots ultimately resulting in a tie.
On Jan. 4, 2018, the State Election Board drew lots from a bowl with the names of the candidates, Yancey's name was drawn.
