| Description | Political nuance created by the French Ministry of the Interior and made official upon question posed and published on January 17, 2008 by MP Bernard Saugey (Isère - UMP). Confusion over the designations DVD "miscellaneous right" or DVG “miscellaneous left”, which replaced "Other" or "unlabeled" (Autre or AUT) used until 2001, forced a protest from mainly non-ideological mayors of municipalities with less than 3,500 inhabitants seeking higher office. The Ministry as a response introduced the DIV or LDIV nuance for the 'non-ideological' called “miscellaneous” on March 20, 2008. Ministry bundles all individuals avowed as non-ideological as "Miscellaneous" ahead of elections for seats in national legislatures. Miscellaneous picked up one seat in France's National Assembly after elections held on the 12th to 19th of June 2022 [Divers (DIV)]. |
