DescriptionThe White House reports President Obama didn't feel the earthquake that rattled the East Coast this week during his golf game, but polling news from California could shake up his supporters and re-election campaign. The President's job approval rating in the Golden State has hit a new low. An exclusive Action News poll conducted by SurveyUSA... shows Mr. Obama's approval at 43% and 51% of those responding to the poll say they disapprove of the job he's doing in the White House.

Action News Political Analyst Tony Capozzi says he's surprised the numbers aren't worse for the President... even in the very "Blue" state of California. Capozzi says the current economic conditions and the debt ceiling debate on Capitol Hill really hurt President Obama, but Capozzi adds "With the election still fourteen months away, the President still has time to bring the economy back and show leadership". He believes it will still be tough for the President to "lose" California in the 2012 election."
