Description | JONESBORO, Ga. — Terrell Starr, a veteran Democratic state senator who acted as adviser to the state's first Republican lieutenant governor, has died.
He was 83. Starr died Sunday after complications from surgery at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
Starr served 38 years in the state Senate representing Henry and Clayton counties. Before his election to the state Legislature in 1968, he served eight years as a Clayton County commissioner. |
