DescriptionLower Mainland riding, containing the NW part of Richmond, runs between Fraser River in north and Blundell Road in south; from the Strait of Georgia in the west to Garden City Road/Highway 99 in east. Moray Channel/Fraser River separates the north and south parts of the riding.

Vancouver International Airport, the Aerospace Technology Campus of BCIT and Swishwash Island are in the riding.

Industrial parks abound, where water transportation and proximity to national and international links enhance commercial and industrial development.

In the 2006 census the immigrant population was 65%, the highest in B.C.. 47% gave Chinese as their mother tongue, the highest in B.C.. The visible minority population is 70%, 53% of which is Chinese.

No change in the 2008 redistribution.
