Description This large and mostly remote riding stretches from Kinbasket Lake/Mount Robson Park in the south to Monkman Park in the north.

It includes the area from Prince George in the northwest as well as Valemont and McBride. The dividing line of Prince George into Prince George-Mackenzie and Prince George-Valemount is Highway 97.

Highway 16 runs through the central part to Prince George, dividing the north and south parts of riding.

Several native reserves including Fort George (Shelley) IR2 are in the riding.

In 2006 census, the aboriginal population was 12%.

Much of the population depends on the operations of forest product enterprises.

This riding was created in the 2008 redistribution from: 77% Prince George-Mount Robson; 34% Prince-George Omineca; 20% Prince George North and 1% Cariboo North.
