Info | Mr Wallace is the MSP for Orkney and has been leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats since 1992.
Mr Wallace was elected as the Member of Parliament for Orkney and Shetland in 1983. He stood down at the 2001 General Election. When Orkney and Shetland were separated into two constituencies for the Scottish Parliament elections Mr Wallace stood for the Orkney seat and was elected as an MSP on May 6, 1999.
Prior to 1983 he practised as an advocate at the Scottish Bar. He was made a Queen�s Counsel in 1997 and a Privy Councillor in December 2000.
Mr Wallace was born in 1954 and lives on Orkney. He is married with two daughters
