David Ramadan is an experienced international consultant, executive and entrepreneur in diverse areas such as Franchising, Immigration, Intellectual Property, Management and Retail with extensive knowledge of the US, Middle East and Indian markets.
David emigrated to the United States of America from Lebanon in 1989. He is a graduate of George Mason University (Virginia, USA) with a Masters of Arts degree in International Trade and Transactions and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Governments and Politics. He completed graduate studies at Oxford University (Oxford, England), the American Graduate School of Business (Geneva, Switzerland), Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, MD) and Georgetown University (Washington DC). He completed his High School at International College (IC) in Beirut, Lebanon.
In 2001, David founded RAMA International Inc., an international consulting company dedicated to servicing a small number of clients with customized solutions internationally, specializing in the Middle East and India. RAMA International is based in Virginia, USA with offices in India, Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates.
David is actively involved in several other corporations and ventures including RAMA Legal, Curves for Women (Middle East & India), Expand to America, and DRZ Jewelers and consults with clients in diverse industries internationally.
David serves on the Board of Visitors of George Mason University (GMU); he was appointed by Governor McDonnell on July 1, 2010. He formerly served as an Adjunct Professor at his Alma-mater where he taught a course titled: Middle East Realities: Past & Present.
David sits on the Board of Advisors of the Middle East Council of American Chambers of Commerce (MECACC). He is the founder of and an active member of several social organizations in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area.
David is a political activist with active roles in the Republican Party of Virginia, The Loudoun County Republican Committee, and the Arab American Republican community. He has served on presidential political campaigns as well as on gubernatorial and senatorial campaigns. He has advised local and state candidates, senior members of the Bush Administration, Congressmen and GOP officials on international policy issues, campaign strategies, and community relations. He has held dozens of campaign events.
David is a frequent commentator on TV and Radio news networks such as Al-Jazeera, Al-Hurra, BBC, France 24, LBC, MBC, and NPR.
David is married to Christie Wray of Franklin County VA. He speaks and writes Arabic & English fluently. He has lived in Virginia, USA since 1989.
