Info | Pam DeLissio has been a resident of the 194th district since 1995 and has worked in the district since 1982. She currently resides in Roxborough and previous to that was a resident of the Penn Wynne section of Lower Merion for over 6 years.
Pam's professional experience spans 30 years in two different careers.
A 1978 graduate of Penn State, with a Bachelor of Science in Health Planning and Administration, Pam spent the first twenty years working in the field of long term care.
First, as Administrator of the Roxborough Home for Women and then as President of the Kearsley Retirement Community, Pam ensured that older adults with limited financial resources had their housing and service needs met, regardless of their income.
Her accomplishments during this time include the orchestration of a $15 million expansion project at Kearsley, involving a precedent setting use of city, state, and federal funds, debt financing and private contributions to create a continuum of care for low-income older adults.
During the past ten years, Pam has consulted in the field of long term care and acquired and managed a small business that offers Internet and technology solutions for residential and commercial customers.
As a consultant, Pam is focused on assisting small business (non-profit and for profit) clients to identify and develop project and program initiatives that fulfill and enhance their business goals and mission.
As a business owner Pam was committed to providing quality service at competitive pricing. Outstanding customer service was a hallmark of the business's reputation.
Pam is recognized for her strong leadership skills and has volunteered in various capacities for professional associations and community organizations, often as a member of their Board of Directors.
PANPHA, Interac, Immaculate Mary Nursing Home, the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging, the Mt. Airy Business Association and the Caritas Long Term care Alliance are examples of organizations where she has served.
Pam was named one of “Pennsylvania’s 2005 Best 50 Women in Business” in 2005.
Other recognitions include Honorable Mention from the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA), for the AAHSA Development Corporation/B.C. Ziegler & Company Strategic Financial Fellowship.
Pam was also a finalist for a John Heinz Senate Fellowship.
Pam has made numerous presentations to professional and business groups on topics pertinent to the long term care industry and owning and operating a small business.
