-Sen. Kenneth S. Wheery elected to a full term on November 2, 1948.
-Sen. Wheery died November 29, 1951. Andrew Frank Seaton was appointed to the seat on December 10, 1951 and served until a special election was held for the seat on November 4, 1952.
-On Nov. 4, 1952, Dwight P. Griswold won the special election to fill the remainder of the term.
-Sen. Griswold died on April 12, 1954. Eva Kelly Bowring was appointed to fill the remainder of the term until a special election could be held.
-Hazel Hempel Abel won the special election to fill the remainder of the term on November 2, 1954. Sen. Abel resigned on December 31, 1954.
-Also on November 2, 1954, Carl T. Curtis won the seat for a full six year term, thus ending the high turnover for one cycle of this seat.
