Campaign

The party was unable to file in any state. Even in Colorado, where the party only needed to file a slate of Presidential Electors and pay a fee, Rogers was unable to achieve ballot status. Since the party also did not become a certified write-in in any state, no votes for Rogers were certified. This was the first step in the disappearance of the American Party in national electoral politics.
