The American Party National Convention assembled in Minneapolis MN. The convention nominated William Sulzer NY for President and John M. Parker LA for VP. Both candidates declined to run, so the national committee endorsed the Republican ticket. The American Party merged into the Republican Party, only running slates of presidential electors in New York State.
