Description |
Presidential Electors were elected by district. The state had been carved into presidential elector districts in 1803, and the districts remained in effect until 1811.
North Carolina elected the following Presidential Electors: (1) Robert Love, (2) Peter Forney, (3) Robert Cleveland (replaced Joseph Riddick), (4) Francis Locke, (5) James Rainey, (6) Joseph Taylor, (7) Murdock McKenzie (F), (8) John Winslow (F), (9) James Wellborn, (10) Thomas Wynns, (11) Henry I. Toole, (12) William Gaston, (13) Samuel Ashe, (14) Kemp Plummer.
