|Info||Ravae is a native of Milwaukee, born and raised on the Northwest side, near and within District 2. Her father, Willie M. Sinclair, Jr. is a journeyman plumber and educator at Bradley Technical High School, long-time member of Milwaukee Plumbers Local 75 and MTEA and Co-Chairman of State of Wisconsin Plumbing Apprenticeship Advisory Committee. Her mother, Avera Sinclair is retired from Allen-Bradley (now Rockwell Automation) after 39 years of service. |
Ravae is the youngest of three sisters who all attended Milwaukee Public Schools, and specifically Ravae attended Goodrich Elementary, Browning Middle School and Samuel Morse Middle School. Ravae furthered her education at University School of Milwaukee, Emory University, UW-Madison and Marquette University Law School. After working as Office Manager for U.S. Senator Russell Feingold in Washington, DC, Ravae returned home to Milwaukee to work in non-profit and received training that led to ownership of a small business for 3 years as a nationally certified Therapeutic Massage Therapist and certified Birth Doula.
Upon graduating with a law degree from Marquette University Law School in 2007, Ravae immediately began working as an attorney with the Wisconsin State Public Defender’s Office-Milwaukee Trial Division. In the role of an Assistant State Public Defender, Ravae served as an attorney for indigent defendants in Milwaukee County accused of misdemeanor and felony criminal offenses. Ravae has proudly served as a member of the Milwaukee County Drug Treatment Court Team, the Domestic Violence Practice Group, and the Raise the Bar Practice Group. In addition to her work as an attorney and birth doula, Ravae serves the Milwaukee community as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. through the Milwaukee Alumnae Chapter.
