The one positive about this race is that I won’t be as shattered as the JHB and Meijer losses. Anything other than a 35-point loss for Liz is a victory in my book.

Just wait 5-8 years when all the new Trump Republicans are the RINOs for whatever new brand of conservatism comes along. Just like when the Tea Party Republicans called the Gingrich Republicans RINOs or when the Gingrich Republicans called the Reagan Republicans RINOs and so on and so on.

Anyhoo, I've had some concerns she might try to run as an independent in the 2024 Presidential rce...but it's unlear from which ticket she'd subtract a greater number of votes.

Yeah. I have no idea how many of her voters would hold their breath and vote for Trump and how many would defect to the Democratic nominee. Might be a wash.

Worse than I thought:
A new Yahoo News/YouGov poll finds Joe Biden leading Donald Trump in a one-on-one rematch by four points among registered voters, 46% to 42%.
But in a three-way race with Rep. Liz Cheney on the ballot as an independent, Trump would suddenly vault to an 8-point lead over Biden, 40% to 32%.
In that scenario, Cheney trails with just 11% of the vote. The problem for Biden is that nearly all of Cheney’s votes come at his expense — and there are enough of them, in theory, to put Trump over the top. - [Link] |

Primary Day 2022: 4479 Democrats, 7987 Republicans, 15586 total voters
