Description | Burford was the candidate of the 'Democratic Party', which was formed by former members of the Referendum Party.
Paisley was a member of the Liberal Party and received their endorsement.
Irwin advocated legal recognition of living wills, which are advance directives about possible future medical care.
Scott-Fawcett sought election as the candidate of the Referendum Party. He was sponsored by the National Association of Referendum Party Supporters Groups, which had been formed by members of the Referendum Party when it was dissolved in 1997.
Hodges was an employee of, and sponsored by, Sport Newspapers. She was nominated as a candidate in order that the newspaper might obtain free postage for advertising material.
Lovebucket sought election as a 'People's Net Dream Ticket Party' candidate.
Davies described himself as an 'Environmentalist'. He campaigned to stop changes in the world climate caused by emissions of Carbon Dioxide.
May was sponsored by the 'Equal Parenting Party' which advocated that men and women share equal responsibility for parenting.
Samuelson used the name 'Tonysamuelsondotcom' on the ballot paper in order to promote his internet website. He advocated restrictions on the sale of tobacco. |
