Description | Appointments by Governor Mead to fill two new permanent positions as authorized by the legislature. Unlike the previous temporary expansion under Governor Rogers, there were no requirements for Mead to make bipartisan appointments. Although both appointees were Republicans, Mead did show independence in selecting Herman Crow for one of the positions, as Crow had compiled a progressive voting record while a state senator and was supported by many eastern Washington Democrats. |
