| Description | Center-left, populist party founded by Russian-born millionaire Viktor Uspaskich. Party was an instant success, becoming the largest in the Seimas (39) after elections held in 2004, and led a coalition government wherein Uspaskich became Minister of Economy. Disputes among members, however, bitter departures (including Uspaskich from 2015-17) and investigations by the General Prosecutor's Office of the party and members starting in 2006, served to undermine it. It currently holds 9 seats in the Seimas as of 2024. Party has been chaired by Andrius Mazuronis since 2019 [Darbo Partija (DP)]. |
