Center-right party founded by David García Pérez, youth leader of the dissolved Democratic and Social Centre (Centro Democrático y Social, CDS) founded by Spain's first Prime Minister Adolfo Suárez in 1982. Party is avowedly Suarist (acolytes of Spain's first prime minister Adolfo Suárez). Party was at first constituted as the Citizens of Democratic Center but decided to change its name on December 29, 2016 to Democratic Center Coalition (Coalición de Centro Democrático) to avoid confusion with the Citizens Party. Party is chaired by David García [Coalición de Centro Democrático (CCD)].
