Description | Bush hones State of Union speech
Summary: President George W Bush says his State of the Union speech on Tuesday will set out his priorities in the war on terror and boosting the US economy.
Excerpt: In his weekly radio address, the president said the US continued to wage "a relentless campaign against terrorists who threaten our country". He said America would continue to build economic security for its people and he would unveil new economic measures. But White House officials say there are no plans for big new tax cuts. The speech, delivered to the US Congress, will be Mr Bush's last State of the Union address before the presidential election in November. |
