| Description | This riding takes in the southeast corner of Vancouver.
It runs between Fraser River in the south and East 49th Avenue/Nanaimo Street/East 41st Avenue/Rupert Street/East 45th Avenue in the north; between the Vancouver/Burnaby border in the east and Fraser Street in the west.
The riding is primarily residential with an industrial belt along the Fraser River.
In the 2006 census, the immigrant population was 59.6% which is the third highest in B.C..
The visible minority population was 75% which was the 2nd highest in B.C.; 42.6% was Chinese and 16% was South Asian.
In the 2008 redistribution, kept 97% of the riding; added 4% of Vancouver-Kingsway. |
