| Description | Multi-ethnic self-governing district under the titular control of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
The District pays lip service to the two entities or proto-nations that make up the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina; the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska. Each of these two proto-nations claim dominium over the Brčko District (the District is thus called a 'condominium'), though the District operates on its own without interference. It has a parliament and a 'mayor' who acts as the district's 'premier'.
