InfoKeir Alexander Mather is a British Labour politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Selby and Ainsty from the 2023 by-election until 30 May 2024. At the time of his election, aged 25, Mather became the Baby of the House.

Keir grew up in a Yorkshire village a short distance from Selby.

He worked in business policy before his election as Selby and Ainsty's MP in a by-election in July last year.

He has got to work delivering a fresh start for the large and rural constituency he represents.

Keir has worked to deliver cost-of-living support hubs, a Selby SEND school, and fought for local people's concerns, from public transport to flooding and road safety.

He holds regular surgeries, and has been campaigning hard to represent residents of Kippax, Methley and surrounding villages who will be joining the Selby seat after the next election.

Now, he is seeking your support to continue his work. Keir pledges to:

-Cut household bills for good and deliver economic security with GB Energy.

-Take back our streets with more neighbourhood police.

-End the local NHS backlog with thousands more GP and dental appointments.

-Fight for frequent and reliable public transport for all.

-Make sure no child goes hungry with free breakfast clubs in local primary schools.
