| Info | Susan L. Green, a business owner and employer, is President of Coldwell Banker M.B. Green Realty located in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. She is the recipient of numerous awards through the Nova Scotia Association of Realtors and Coldwell Banker. She is also a teacher with several years experience at the elementary and junior/senior high levels.
Ms. Green has active community involvement, including two terms as a director of the Pictou Regional Development Commission, a member of the steering committee for Pictou County’s Strategic Plan, a corporate campaign team member of the Pictou County United Way, and a long-time fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society and school musicals. She currently serves on the Glasgow Square Theatre Committee.
She has chosen this time to seek election because she wants to participate in Prime Minister Paul Martin’s focused vision for Canada’s future. She believes her background of business and teaching experience, combined with her proven track record for providing excellent service, gives her the balanced perspective to represent the citizens of Central Nova.
Ms. Green believes government needs to develop an inter-related approach to health care, affordable housing, education and the environment. Other key areas of interest are developing policies to support and sustain small business.
Ms. Green holds a B.A. and B.Ed. from Acadia University, and a CRA designation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada. She lives in New Glasgow with her husband, Clarke Logan, and their son, Jonathan, a university student.
