InfoA lifelong resident of Oakland County, Dave Trott has a proven track record of innovation, integrity, job-creation and an ability to solve problems and provide solutions. For more than 30 years, Dave has honed his skills as a leader and innovative businessman with expertise in technology, legal affairs, and housing. Throughout his career, Dave has created and saved 1,800 jobs in southeast Michigan.

In 1985, he joined his father and mother in the family law firm. Under Dave’s leadership, the firm and other businesses grew. As an innovator, Dave applied his unique problem solving ability to evolving technologies, accounting services, E-mail optimization and staffing processes. His business acumen was recognized by Crain’s Magazine as one of the “Best and Brightest Under 40”.

As a good friend to our community, Dave received the James T. Barnes Award; developed and organized Southeast Michigan Housing Fairs and fundraisers for Coalition on Temporary Shelter; and presented with the 2012 Community Philanthropy and Service Award by The Community House.

Dave’s relentless work ethic is matched by his integrity to uphold our values and instill them in the next generation. He has spent a semester teaching American government at Detroit Country Day School and was the keynote speaker to Country Day graduates at the June 2013 commencement ceremony. Dave currently serves on the University of Michigan Advisory Board, Detroit Country Day School Board of Trustees, The Community House Board, Karmanos Cancer Center Board, Michigan State Building Authority Board of Trustees, and the Michigan Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees.
