| Info | Howell holds a B.S. in Biopsychology and an Associate's Degree in Occupational Studies in the field of Funeral Service & Mortuary Science, he also maintains a Pennsylvania Professional License to practice Funeral Directing & Embalming. The Clinton Township resident is no stranger to Wayne County; he is an eighth generation Wayne County dairy farmer and resides on the family farm in Upper Creamton. The Howell Family owns and operates a 120-head Registered Holstein, (60-head milking herd), family dairy farm where Howell remains an active contributor to the daily efforts of family agriculture production.
Howell has been helping to guide families at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home in Honesdale since December 2004; just one year after Howell experienced the untimely death of his own mother. He has remained at the funeral home since that time, apprenticing under the direction of Art Bryant. In this capacity, Howell has worked in conjunction with the Coroner's Office. Howell's sincere desire to bear the burden of grieving families is evidenced as he reaches out to those who entrust their needs to the Bryant Funeral Home. Howell has rapidly become an integral part of this Wayne County service professional.
A 2007 graduate of Western Wayne High School, Howell served as President of The Class, as well as President of the National Honor Society. Howell continued his education at Messiah College, Grantham PA, and Simmons Institute of Funeral Service, Syracuse, NY. Howell is affiliated with the American Academy of Grief Counseling, and in addition to general grief counseling, he has achieved a Specialization in Child and Adolescent Bereavement counseling.
Howell's research initiatives focus on grieving patterns and emotional health, specifically in regard to childhood development, wellness, and education.
At Simmons Institute, Howell's academic and clinical studies included coursework in sciences such as anatomy, chemistry, microbiology, pathology, embalming, restorative art, and business and social sciences, including bereavement counseling, law and ethics.
He is the son of Randy L. Howell of Upper Creamton and the late Robyn (Shaffer) Howell.
