| Info | He was born on February 26, 1927, in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, is a graduate of Beveir-Cleaton High School, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He received his B.A. from the Bowling Green College of Commerce in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and pursued Graduate Studies from the University of Mississippi. A retired Mayor of Decatur, Representative Dukes has also served as former Deputy Commissioner of Decatur Dixie Youth Baseball. He currently serves as a lifetime member of the Alabama Congress of Parents and Teachers, the American Legion, Decatur Jaycees, Decatur Boys Club, Morgan County Fair Board Advisory Board, and the Salvation Army. Married to the former Juanita Willoughby, Representative Dukes is the father of four children and seven grandchildren. He has lived in Decatur since 1957.
