InfoMy name is Gary Sicard and I am running for US Congress for Iowa’s 2nd District. I am a husband and father, a veteran, an Eagle Scout, a computer network engineer, a sound engineer for my church and a Libertarian.

I am an Eagle Scout that grew up in Southern California and graduated from high school in Riverside. I then moved to Iowa after joining the Iowa National Guard. I attended college at Wartburg in Waverly and graduated in 1996.

I have worked for large and small businesses as a computer technician, engineer, and architect since graduation from college. I currently work for a small business in Cedar Rapids as a Computer Network Engineering Manager and I take an active role in the day to day operations of many IT networks of our of business customers.

The first rule of the Boy Scout law is Trustworthy… I have tried to always live my life as someone that could be trusted. If you leave me a task, I will complete it, no matter how long it takes or how much I have to learn to get it done.

But, Trust isn’t just for Scouts, it is also supposed to be for our representatives in Congress.

Some people have asked how to pronounce my last name, so a friend of mine came up with a graphic to help with remembering how to pronounce it… The image is of a sea card and that is how you pronounce my name: SeaCard.
