| Info | Collin Anderson is fifty-two years old. He is married to his best friend Patti. Together they have three grown children, six grandchildren and another due early January.
Collin was born in Tofield Alberta, grew up and attended school in Bowden, and has lived his whole life in central and Southern Alberta.
He completed his apprenticeship training as a Journeyman Communications Electrician and has worked for AGT/TELUS for the past thirty two years. Prior to that, he worked at large meat packing plant, an asphalt plant for road construction and a landscaping nursery. All are jobs done by proud, working Albertans.
He has enjoyed working in adult education for over thirty years with; the City of Red Deer Recreation Department, the Central Alberta Photographic Society, AGT/TELUS, the Telecommunications Workers Union, and the Calgary & District Labour Council.
Collin is a well respected and active member of his union, the Telecommunications Workers Union. He has taken and taught many labour education courses, has held many positions and currently holds the position of President of TWU Local 204 representing over six hundred bargaining unit employees, is the current 1st Vice President of the Calgary & District Labour Council representing over thirty thousand workers, and is the Co-Chair of the Political Action Committee of the CDLC. Collin has worked tirelessly on behalf of workers and workers rights. He has fought for social and economic justice as a standard for all and to improve the working lives of all people.
Collin enjoys cooking, photography, NHL hockey, CFL football, woodworking, camping, backpacking, spending time with his family and friends, and traveling with his wife Patti.
