InfoChris was born in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1969. He lived there until his father moved the family to Hall Summit, Louisiana. Chris worked on the family farm with his two brothers and one sister, tending to cattle and harvesting hay. Chris graduated from Trinity Heights Christian Academy where he was active in 4-H, winning 1st place with his champion steer, and receiving All-State honors in football. In 1995, he earned a B.A.A.S. in Computer Information Systems from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX.

Just days after graduating, Chris moved his family to Oklahoma to take over the transportation consulting business his father had launched. Under Chris’ leadership, the company flourished. Numerous jobs were created, revenue tripled and service was provided to over 3,000 clients nationwide. In 1999, Chris furthered his education and attended the Executive MBA Program at Harvard University.

Though he enjoyed living and working in Oklahoma, Chris realized that Louisiana was home for him. In 2004, he moved his family to Shreveport and joined his father and brother who were running Tango Transport, a trucking company owned by the Gorman family. With the three Gorman’s united, Tango Transport went on to add 500 new positions to the company and has developed into one of Louisiana’s largest employers.

Today Chris is the Executive Vice President of Tango Transport. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading the Sales, Information Systems, Maintenance, Billing and Collections Departments. In 2007, Chris was selected by Governor-Elect Bobby Jindal to serve on the Transition Team as a member of the Transportation Group of the Economic Growth Advisory Council. He also serves as a member of Louisiana Association of Business and Industry’s Energy Policy Committee and its Health Care and Education Task Force.

His community involvement includes a one-year term of the Federal Grand Jury in 1998 where he was selected by a Federal Judge to lead the jury as Foreman. Additionally, he served as a board member for the Center for Global Ministries from 2004-2007 and the finance committee for the Franklin Graham Festival in 2005. In recent years, Chris has volunteered for the Shreveport-Bossier Community Renewal, Toys For Tots, the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank and his church.

Chris and his wife Jaci have been married for 16 years; they have two children Hunter, 14, and Lee, 12 and they are members of Summer Grove Baptist Church. He is an avid outdoorsman enjoying bass fishing and running and participates in various fishing tournaments and 5K runs.
