Yeh. And keep in mind there could be some Senators who cross the aisle or decide to sit as Independents and cost the Republicans their majority. The political fallout of this will begin tomorrow after Biden is confirmed tonight.

Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) told the New York Times that she briefly considered running for reelection as an independent but ultimately decided to stick with her party because of loyalty to “the New England brand of Republicanism.” - [Link]

Jason: A consequence of the Democratic Party's obsession with suburbia at the expense of the working class.

Also, prior to 2010, the last Democrat to hold the seat held it for nearly 40 years and probably built up a considerable personal following. And people prioritizing social issues over economic ones. And people voting against their own interests for various reasons. And a host of other demographic and political changes over the last 30+ years.

Who really thinks a rematcher will win. Different case next door in the 6th since Karen Handel once held a seat I don’t consider that rematching

He stayed in the race way after he was mathematically eliminated. Endorsing two weeks before the primary is way too late. His support for her in the race was tepid at best. If he really thought it was important that she defeat Trump, he could've done a lot more.

Good for Kemp for standing by his choice, no matter what Donald Trump thought about it.

I'm sure she will be a loyal Trumpist. But, it still is nice to see a whiff of a backbone by a GOPer.

It's happening. How does one, how does the rest of the world deal with this should the Chinese army enter Hong Kong and pull a Tiananmen II? I'd instantly pull out trade and population, and initiate a world blockade, back to status quo pre Nixon-in-China.

Looks like WV State Senator Hardesty found some of the content from Trump's speech last night disturbing, just not what you think...

For anyone interested, the context behind the SPUSA endorsement here is that Kuehnel is apparently a member of the Socialist Party, and also helps run the Libertarian Socialist Caucus in the Libertarian Party (which I thought was an artful troll when I first heard about it, and honestly am still not convinced that it isn't). Somewhat of an amusing situation either way, though.
