Susana Martinez would make an excellent GOP candidate!

Would Yoho be considered more of a Tea Party candidate if he runs?

I believe that some more of his past endorsements need to be added as well.

He recently said that he would enforce current marijuana laws and opposes legalizing it. I'm not sure I would exactly call him pro-gun control, though. He is more liberal on gun control than most Republicans, but I would call him a moderate on that issue.

Who will we submit to the IOC for our bid if not Boston? While we're at it, I think Denver would be a perfect candidate for the Winter Olympics in the future.

This isn't news to anyone who watches politics. This shift has been 2 decades in the making, and it spells trouble for the GOP.

What I find remarkable about this race is how close Milne came to winning. The polls prior to the election seemed to suggest that Shumlin was safe.

Honestly, I think this is kind of dumb. The map has been in effect for three years, so it's kind of late to be drawing a new one. I'd just wait until the regular reapportionment.
On the other hand, it strengthens the case for independent commissions to draw the districts instead of legislatures, something which I have supported for years.

What happened is that the Tea Party movement took over our party and is turning it into Dixiecrat Lite. Whatever happened to sane, rational debate? The Republican party should not tolerate these kind of extremists in its ranks.

I heard somewhere that Democrats aren't very enthusiastic about having a Toomey vs. Sestak rematch. I suspect that McGinty or someone else will win the primary.

Rasmussen reports is not a Republican affiliated pollster. They're often accused of being too pro-Republican (a notion I reject), but they are officially independent. Could this be corrected, please?

He's destroying himself with this. I hope that he can recover before November 2016 and save this seat for our party.

So 13 of his convictions still stand. Why would they throw out his entire sentence instead of the sentence for those counts?

Very true. Goldwater was more of a libertarian than a modern conservative.

I'm glad to see someone acknowledging what I've known all along: PPP is the polling arm of the Democratic party, intentionally skewing polls in favor of their side. I remember during the summer of 2012, when most swing state polls had Obama and Romney running close, PPP had Obama with leads that were way outside the other numbers I saw.

Gilmore is yesterday's news. He went nowhere in 2008, and he will go nowhere this time. His candidacy may be even stranger than Trump's.
