Description |
The votes will go in the following rounds.
All 50 governors, 5 polls, the top two finishers will go on to the next round. This will take place over a six-day period from May 25th until May 30th. The ten finishers will be split into two groups (selection will be alphabetical), and voting on these two groups of five will be conducted between May 30th and June 4th. Finally, the top two finishers in each of these polls will advance to a final vote, which will take place between June 4th and June 9th. The governor with the most votes of the two shall be named OC's Favorite Governor.
First Round Results-Crist, Bredesen, Easley, Freudenthal, Kaine, Lynch, Napolitano, Rell, Richardson, Schwarzenengger, and Sebelius all moved forward to the second round (eight Democrats and three Republicans).
The following governors didn't receive a single solitary vote-Ernie Fletcher, Rick Perry, Tim Pawlenty, and Mark Sanford (all four Republicans, two of them frontrunners for the VP slot in 2008).
