DescriptionConservative, Nationalist party better known as BERSATU launched and led by Malaysia's 8th Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin. Party is the leading component of the once ruling (March 1, 2020 to August 16, 2021) Perikatan Nasional coalition. Yassin ascended to command as Prime Minister upon Mohammad Mahathir's fall on March 1, 2020, but wound up falling himself, resigning on August 16, 2021, after threatened motion of confidence actions by UMNO and opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim [Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM)].
