It seems to me highly improbable that Hamas was able to build (or get hold of) a bomb powerful enough to immediately level a hospital. If they had such a device, why had they not deployed it against an Israeli target before?

The narrative that Israel wants to push (After the West can see the footage of dead children) is that Hamas was actually trying to shoot at Israel and the Hospital got in the way. And literally the day before they were spreading that Hamas was secretly digging tunnels underneath the Hospitals, because they need to keep making the "HUMAN SHEILDS" narrative more outlandish than before.
