Description | Daniel Noboa won the second round of the presidential elections in Ecuador against Correísta Luisa González, with 86% of the official count. The young businessman obtained 52% compared to 48% for his left-wing rival. The candidate of the National Democratic Action alliance (ADN) obtained 4,414,547 votes, while the candidate of the Citizen Revolution, the political movement led by former president Rafael Correa (2007-2017), added 4,048,973. The two candidates continue to follow the progress of the scrutiny in different places, as Noboa chose to follow it on a beachfront property in the coastal province of Santa Elena and González does so in a hotel in Quito alongside Correismo leaders. |
