Description | Last week came word that George P. Bush, son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and nephew of former President George W. Bush, had filed paperwork with the Texas Ethics Commission needed to run for office. But … which office? Tom Benning asked, but no one answered.
But with a hat tip directed toward our next-door neighbor, now we have a pretty good idea: Texas Land Commissioner.
And with incumbent Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson outta there come 2014, well, now’s as good as time as any. Looks like georgepbushfortexas.com is already alive and well and accepting contributions — and the the Republican National Committee has already snatched up georgepbush.com, just to be on the safe side. |
