| Description | Many political figures have expressed disappointment with the Republican primary campaign and now, former first lady Barbara Bush can be added to the list.
“I think it’s been the worst campaign I’ve ever seen in my life,” she said. “I hate that people think compromise is a dirty word. It’s not a dirty word.”
Barbara Bush, the wife of one president and the mother of another, expressed her discontent at Southern Methodist University first ladies conference Monday, where she and daughter-in-law Laura Bush appeared on a panel. Discussion of the current political cycle was brief, the Associated Press reported, and the former first ladies did not single out any one candidate. |
