Description | State Senate Majority Leader Jeb Bradley has decided not to run for governor. That takes a potentially major Republican out of the mix for what will likely be a complicated primary.
Bradley, a former Congressman from Wolfeboro, will release a statement later today announcing his decision not to run. The rush is on for potential candidates after popular Democratic Gov. John Lynch announced yesterday that he will not run for re-election.
Among the Republicans who are considering a campaign are former Senate candidate Ovide Lamontagne, former State Rep. Kevin Smith, state Board of Education Chair John Lyons and former Senate candidate Bill Binnie. Other names are expected to emerge. |
