Description | (Washington, DC) – U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) introduced the No Budget, No Salary Amendment to S. 1323, which is currently pending before the U.S. Senate.
“It has been more than 800 days since the Senate passed a budget, ignoring one of the most fundamental responsibilities of governing. Avoiding budget votes for political reasons is not what people want to see from their public officials. If Congress doesn’t do its job, its Members shouldn’t get paid. My amendment is a straight forward measure, and should be brought to the floor for an up or down vote,” said Heller. |
