Description | Nevada Republican Sharron Angle, in Iowa on Wednesday, said she wouldn't rule out a presidential bid in 2012.
"I'll just say I have lots of options for the future, and I'm investigating all my options," Angle said when asked about running for president in 2012, according to the Des Moines Register.
A White House bid next year by Angle, who lost a close race to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (R-Nev.) last cycle, isn't exactly likely. But Angle now gets added to the list of Republicans who have set foot in Iowa recently and haven't ruled out a presidential run.
Last week, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) became the latest Tea Party star to start testing the waters. After a speech in the state last Friday, Bachmann met with Republican leaders and told reporters she wants to be a part of the 2012 conversation. |
