DescriptionKentucky Democrats will begin airing an ad over the weekend that features a supporter of Republican Senate candidate Rand Paul stepping on the head of a woman from MoveOn.org. The ad comes on the heels of another commercial aired by Democrat Jack Conway’s campaign that questioned Mr. Paul’s faith.

This most recent ad, entitled “Stop Rand Paul from Stomping on Kentucky,” replays video from an incident that occurred Monday night in Lexington before a debate between the two candidates. A crowd of Paul supporters wrestled a liberal activist to the ground and a man in a Rand Paul T-shirt stepped on her head. The woman, Lauren Valle, told the Fox affiliate in Louisville that she was trying to give Mr. Paul “an award” and had “a bit of a headache” afterward.

In the ad, Kentucky Democrats say Mr. Paul would end mine safety, breast cancer research and protections for the disabled, while slapping a 23% sales tax on everything.
Recent polls have shown Mr. Paul pulling away after the race tightened earlier this month.
