The administration plans to cut red tape for businesses that want to locate or expand in Tennessee, offer more customized job training and boost the new Office of Diversity Business Enterprise to make it easier for minority and female-owned firms to do business with the state.
That struck a responsive chord with Darrell Cobbins, a commercial real estate agent.
"We've not heard that from the state level before," he said.
