Description | MOSCOW, April 2 (Itar-Tass) – Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Industries, a leading member of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Yuri Maslyukov died in Moscow Thursday at the age of 72.
Sources at the Communist Part’s parliamentary faction said Maslyukov, a notable Soviet-era and Russian statesman and economic expert, died after a heavy illness.
He was a member of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR from 1984 through 1989 and a member of the State Duma from the second through the fifth convocation. |
