Description | New details have emerged from the protection order obtained by an eastern Missouri lawmaker against her husband, who is challenging her at the polls.
State Rep. Linda Fischer of Bonne Terre alleges in court documents that her husband grabbed her arms and waist to wrestle away her cell phone and sent her harassing text messages.
She also says she was so afraid that she has been sleeping in her daughter's room with the door locked.
She says he told her "there won't be anything left but ashes."
John Fischer denies ever physically abusing his wife. He says he is running against her because he opposes Democratic policies. |
